The Church, together with St Nicholas' Church in Dinnington, are administered by the Parochial Church Council of Hinton St George with Dinnington and form part of the joint Benefice which encompasses the villages of Merriott, Hinton St George, Dinnington and Lopen. Currently, the clergy team is a joint Rectorship with Julia Hicks and her husband Bob. They are assisted by the Curate the Rev Nick Clarke.

St George's is a beautiful and historic church, with interesting monuments, excellent organ and superb acoustics.
